Summary:

Responsible for the overall direction of the assigned program/department(s).  Responsible for coordinating all aspects for youth and family services. This position will implement new children’s services and ensure the ongoing operational success of current programs assigned to them.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Establishes the vision for clinical services in assigned programs in the organization and use flexibility to navigate the changing treatment environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current research on evidence-based and promising practices and instills this information in all aspects of the role.
  • Develops, implements, evaluates, and enforces policies, business rules, programs, standards, and management plans for the area(s) of responsibility and ensures that all are in compliance with accreditation, licensure, federal, state and local statutes and/or requirements. Is knowledgeable of and enforces all human resource and organization policies.
  • Actively monitors census and productivity expectations of the programs, implements as necessary interventions to address productivity deficiencies and keeps senior leaders aware of productivity outcomes.
  • Involved in hiring direct reports. The Director would monitor and continuously evaluate their performance to ensure effective selection, orientation, clinical supervision and training of staff and volunteers.
  • Develop and reviews individual treatment plans and ensures implementation through clinical supervision.
  • Coordinates and ensures treatment sessions are assigned and being met for all clients in programs.
  • Ensures weekly team meetings are facilitated including family team meetings.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.
  • Coordinates with all internal and external stakeholders to include care coordination with schools, justice departments, other agencies, and the state.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to behavioral healthcare services and/or discipline of responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • LCSW
  • Maintain a valid state driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three (3) years of related clinical experience.
  • Assessed competence in the role assumed.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in supervising a team of professional clinicians.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in an organization’s CQI process.
  • Demonstrated experience with utilizing trend data in management planning efforts.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing technology on a day-to-day basis for communicating by e-mail, preparing reports, and conducting research.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
