Sweetser has partnered with Central Maine Healthcare and is looking for a Clinician for Central Maine Pediatrics in Lewiston! 

Located in a primary and/or specialty practice, this position is a trained LCSW or LCPC working with adults, children, and families integrating mental health services into the medical practice. The clinician, a member of the care team, will work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers and other practice staff to assure patients receive brief treatment, prevention, and educational support.

LOCATION: Central Maine Pediatrics in Lewiston

Behavioral Health Specialist will: 

  • Actively participate in analyzing the results of behavioral health screening tools determined as appropriate for the practice and population in which they are integrated).
  • Demonstrate competence in efficient and accurate clinical assessment of behavioral health conditions including substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrate an ability to present facts, concerns and options to patients and care team members, in formal and informal methods.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of brief, evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage the pace of primary care and working with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of certain chronic and/or co-morbid conditions. 
  • Demonstrate competence in coordinating and managing referrals for patients with behavioral health conditions that require longer term intervention.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate crisis situations and employ appropriate interventions.

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work 


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

• Independently licensed to practice as an LCSW in Maine

• Possession of and ability to maintain a valid State of Maine driver’s license.


Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the social work field.

• Experience working with individuals of all ages, as well as with children and their families.
