Summary:
Psychiatric Services Clinic Support will utilize trauma informed practices and customer service to provide support to psychiatric providers and patients, to ensure quality mental health and substance recovery medication management in a clinical setting. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide customer service within established deadlines, consistent with organizational values, standards, and policies.
  • Completes and revises documents by entering/typing data from source materials, recordings, and edited data.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Complete documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing patient and provider phone calls.
  • Facilitate referrals and schedule appointments with psychiatric provider.
  • Manage prior and continuing insurance authorization requests and program waitlists in coordination with the Access Team.
  • Facilitate continuity of care by obtaining collateral information from internal and external providers in accordance with agency and HIPAA Privacy standards.
  • Manage pharmacy relationships.
  • Assist the psychiatric services clinic by packing, labeling, and medication dispensing to clients when needed.
  • Facilitate the discharge process for psychiatric providers.
  • Facilitate Treatment Plan reminders and discontinuations for psychiatric providers.
  • Attend and actively participate in clinic staff meetings and in-services.
  • Facilitate basic laboratory tests.
  • Perform and document patient vital signs.
  • Follows all HIPAA Privacy regulations to protect the confidentiality of all client information and release of information from area(s) of responsibility.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CRMA trained

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Valid CRMA Certification

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with EHR
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
