Director of Behavioral Home and Adult Community Integration Services

We are looking for the right partner to support Sweetser's mission and vision as the Director of Behavioral Home and Community Integration Services. Our ideal candidate will have all required qualifications, along with strength of character, compassion and a sense of humor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works with Sr. Director to develop, implement, evaluate and enforce policies, business rules, programs, budgets, standards and management plans for the area(s) of responsibility. Ensures that all are in compliance with accreditation, licensure, federal, state and local statutes and/or requirements.  Is knowledgeable of and enforces all human resource and organization policies.

  • Implements and monitors the budget throughout the fiscal year.  Including development and implementation of Level 3 corrective action plans for  the budgets as necessary.
  • Actively monitors attestation and productivity expectations of the programs, intervenes as necessary to address productivity deficiencies
  • Actively involved in hiring, monitoring and continuously evaluating their performance to ensure effective recruitment, selection, orientation and training of staff and volunteers. 
  • Ensures that the program organizational structure is consistently aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Provides professional leadership to all direct reports.  Supports staff by transmitting technical knowledge and skills; teaching work management, communication and conflict management skills. 
  • Manages employee relation issues in the scope of responsibility.  Ensures compliance with employment and labor laws.
  • Demonstrates competence in addressing interpersonal barriers and strengths in direct reports, cultivating job ability performance, empowering those supervised and coaching as needed in a constructive manner.
  • Communicates the importance of and implements risk management efforts throughout assigned area(s) of responsibility.

EDUCATION:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, counseling or closely related field with some concentration in family systems and family development required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
• LCSW or LCPC (IL) required.
• Valid state driver’s license

EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years of related clinical experience
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience
• Demonstrated track record of success in supervising a team of professional clinicians
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in managing program budgets
• Demonstrated experience with utilizing trend data in management planning efforts
